RULES
RULES AND REGULATIONS!
These rules are subject to change at any time and it is your responsibility as a member to check in and read them from time to time. Thank you for your cooperation.
The Number One Rule
No Personal Attacks! Any personal attacks, name calling, innuendo, or anything resembling a personal attack is cause for suspension and/or banning. We do not tolerate personal attacks and they will be dealt with with the utmost severity. This goes for attacks on Teletoon Talk members, Admins and Mods.

This board is English Only! Sorry but that's the way it is.
Administration
Absolutely no bashing of the administration. If you have a problem with the way the site is run, please contact an admin privately and we will try and deal with it. The admins of the message board are:
Piracy
We absolutely, positively, do not condone piracy. You'll find that many words dealing with file sharing are filtered and we ask that you do not discuss where to find or download music or videos online that are not in the public domain.
Privacy
We also respect the privacy of our members. We will never sell your e-mail address or use it in any way other than to send automated board messages (topic reply notifictations, etc.). As such, we absolutely do not condone the spamming of other members. You may not use your account here to spam other members, either via e-mail, private messages, or any other messaging client. We are very strict about this rule and you will only receive one warning before being banned. Our members' privacy is extremely important and we want you to know that we respect your privacy and will never do anything to betray that trust.
Language[s]/Profanity
This board is in english, and so one must post in english. Sorry but when using a remotely hosted board these are their rules. Profanity with the exception of the The Detour section is prohibited. We may have youngters here so watch that mouth.
Signature Rules
You are allowed only a certain number of lines depending on the size of the text used:
* size=1 - 8 lines
* size=2 - 6 lines
* size=3 - 5 lines
* size=4 - 4 lines
* size=5 - 3 lines
* size=6 - 2 lines
* size=7 - 1 line
* Number of lines is measured on a standard 1024x768 screen.
Image Signatures may only be 500 width x 150 height pixels
Images may not contain pornography or nudity or any other depictions of cruetly, grossness,obscene etc. Admin has the last word on what's acceptable. Warning will be issued to remove signature, followed by a warning point against the offender. If said offender continues to break rule, banishment will follow.
Animation Signatures
Short animations allowed no longer than 15 seconds in length. Flash, avi, mpeg etc allowed as long as it doesn't interfere with the board operations. No nudity, porn, obscene, gross etc images allowed.
Avatar Rules
Short, small animations are allowed.Flash,avi, mpeg
Must be between a mimum 64x64 and 200x200 and 100kb or less
Thread / Posting Rules
* Threads will be closed at 10 pages. Threads longer than this cause the boards to slow down.
* Please do not SHOUT in topic titles - use lower case along with upper-case.
*Please write coherently. NO IM Shorthand or Internet Shorthand, eg:
r u going 2 Pauls' place? It's annoying for members to read and understand. Some exceptions are ROTFL, JMO, IMHO etc. These are exceptable.Admin or Mod has final word.
* Discussions about where or how to download pirated or illegal episodes is expressly forbidden. Any links to sites or mention of how or where to download is not allowed and such threads will be closed.
* We request that you stay on topic in threads - that means not having a conversation in a thread devoted to a fanfic, just discuss the fic. Remember, there will other forums for you to discuss off topic intrests and discussions.
* Please do not double post - if you have another comment to add after posting, use the Edit button to add it to your exisiting post, especially if it's only been a short time since you posted, and/or no one has posted after you.
* Spamming the forums by creating a thread or replying to a topic just to promote your site or any other site is strictly prohibited. We do not tolerate spam and if you post spam, your posting privledges will be suspended until we can make contact with you. Also, if you receive spam via private messages, please contact the administration and we will take care of it.
* Circumventing the forum filters will be cause for a warning. The filters are in place for a reason and inventing ways to bypass them is strictly off limits - for example, do not try and replace "a" with "@" or something similar to get by a censored word.
* As we request you stay on topic, we also do not allow bumps of threads. Posting a smiley, picture, or one word post is considered a pad/bump and will not be allowed. The "no bumping" rule applies to each and every forum.
* Similar to bumping, one word or one smiley posts are frowned upon as they are seen as "padding" of one's post count. If you want to post something, please contribute to the thread with something more than one word or one smiley.
* Plagiarism in the fan fiction forums or in any other forum is obviously not allowed - just as you would be punished for plagiarizing in school, a warning will be issued if caught plagiarizing anywhere on the forums.
--ยป Unfortunately, we at Teletoon Talk are unable to mediate any cases of plagarism, so if you encounter a problem while posting here, please let the administration know so we can monitor it, but to get a resolution, we ask that you visit the OPR: The Office of Plagaristic Research. After posting there, those in the community will make a decision as to whether or not plagarism occurred and we will abide by their findings. As stated above, a warning will be issued to anyone found plagarizing for the first time. Continued offenses will lead to suspensions and/or bannings. Please note, that by taking your case to the OPR, you agree to abide by whatever decision they come to.
* Keep threads in the appropriate forums.
* Do not post the same topic in multiple forums, no cross posting - decide which forum best suits the topic and post it only once. This includes fanfics that fit into more than one genre.
* This board is open to anyone and everyone - therefore, posting of obscene images,nudity, porn, subverting the forum censors, and/or blatantly ignoring the forum rules will not be tolerated.This includes links too such offending content.
* SPOILERS! For now please warn that spoilers are ahead in posts with at least 10 lines of space before posting, or use white text so posters need to highlight text. Place a warning that one should highlight the upcoming text.
Uploading
For now Uploading has been limited to a few forums, and to the admin of the board. This may change in time.
As above, images of an adult nature, nudity, obscene, gross etc will not be tolerated.
As well this includes text uploads.
Account Rules
* Multiple accounts are absolutely not allowed. If you are caught posting with multiple accounts, both will be suspended and/or banned.
* Account names must adhere to the general rules of the boards - no profanity, obscene language, or personal attacks are allowed in usernames.
* The Personal Photo option in your controls is for personal photos only. No pictures of celebrities, inanimate objects, or anything else - this is an optional section - please only use it by posting a picture of yourself.

Warnings
To properly enforce the rules of the board, a warning system is being used.
* You will be notified via Private Messaging if you have been warned.
* After three warnings, your posting privileges will be revoked for three (3) days.
* After three (3) warnings, you will be banned from the board.
* Your warning level may or may not be reset after the three day suspension - therefore, it is entirely up to the admin and mods to decide if you get a reset.
* Your warning can be decreased, if we feel the infraction was unintentional.
* If you post a spoiler in the Spoiler-Free forum, you will be immediately warned. Another infraction in that forum will cost you two levels of warning, immediately resulting in a three (3) day suspension. Another warning in that forum will cost you two more levels and will result in a permanent ban.
* Only administrators have the ability to warn members.
* If you feel the warning was unwarranted, please contact the Admin by PM or Email.
* Warnings will only be given out if prior notice has been given - but realize - ignorance is not an excuse. If there is a topic pinned atop the forum - it is meant to be read - rules contained in these threads are considered prior notice. Warnings will also be given out for blatant rule violations - and only for rules that are integral for a smooth running forum. For example, warnings will not be given out for a signature that is too long or a personal photo that is not yourself - however, they will be given out for ignoring: The Number One Rule, Piracy, Thread Rules, and other blatant violations.
